GIANT DAISY STUDY

Also known as Yellow Oxeye, Yellow Sunflower, and Heartleaf Oxeye, this plant is everywhere in our garden. It typically grows to about 1-1.5 meters tall and has large, coarse, hairy leaves. The plant produces large yellow flowers and a yellow ray florets in the summer. It is very hardy and can grow in a variety of soils and conditions. It is often used as an ornamental plant, due to its large, showy flowers and its ability to naturalize easily in gardens. What I love is the way it unfurls from the hairy blob you see here into a fully open flower.
